- Questions & AnswersHi! I found a pretty little taramind tree, and bought it, thinking I could figure out a way to help it flourish outside. I live just north of Wilmington, near Surf city, and everything I have read leads me to believe I will not do well here in the winter. As I started researching options I found that tamarind trees are often used as bonsai trees, which is exciting to me, as I have always wanted a bonsai tree! I have been reading online, but, of course, there is conflicting information, etc. Are there classes — in person or virtually— that one can attend to learn the basics of how to start this process? Or any experts who would be willing to meet me one-on-one for tutoring? I really want to make it work!
- General DiscussionThanks for coming out yesterday. I wanted to follow up with a couple of photos of the twin trunk trident maple I included in the demo. This tree will get repotted in early March into a much shallower container. I am hoping to find a nice glazed soft edged, feminine rectangle. Maybe yellow, orange, blue or purplish. I worked on the Crepe Myrtle more last night, too. I reduced branches back to 1 or two per node. I trimmed the presumed back side of the tree a bit more, too. Photos coming later.
